Brake Man Asphalt Compound #84
When you take a 3400 pound NASCAR to Martinsville, you can never have enough brake, but more importantly, you need consistency of feel from your pad. Our #84 compound was developed for the highest temperatures, longest duration races and conditions that put the highest thermal loads on the brake system. The coefficient of friction is high (.56) and friction gains as temperatures increases up to the maximum of 1500+ Degrees Fahrenheit. This pad is much more stable and longer lasting at high temperatures than other compounds. Very rotor friendly with an outstanding wear rate. This compound can also be used in lower temperature applications where the driver prefers a high "tip-in" or initial bite.
